Celebrate Pride Month with an exciting screen-printing workshop for young people (12-17 years) inspired by Liberate!, a photographic exhibition of Sydney’s LGBTIQA+ history.
If you’re interested in learning about LGBTIQA+ social justice and being creative, this workshop is sure to inspire and empower you.
You’ll create your own positive slogans and banners, then screen-print them onto sustainable tote bags under the guidance of an expert printmaker.
Liberate! shares 45+ years of history making moments in Sydney. From the creation of queer organizations to world-leading HIV education campaigns, and the thirteen-year struggle and monumental win for marriage equality.
The workshop is led by Liberate! creative producer Jacqui North and offers a unique opportunity to learn more about the exhibition and historic events. You’ll learn about the stories, banners and placards featured in the exhibition.
